Hi! I'm Kristin.
I could start this by telling you about my education, years in the mental health field, training, specializations, and so forth, but I'd like to present myself in whole enchilada form first. I am a human person, which means that I make mistakes, cuss, care too much, and have days where I do not feel that I can do anything right. Believe it or not, it has taken the perfectionist in me a long time to learn that I'm okay and to be okay with it.
I am a survivor of narcissistic abuse and complex trauma in many different forms.  Through therapy, I have been able to discover hidden things about myself. Some of which aren't all sunshine and rainbows, and some that are indeed covered in brightly colored unicorn fairy dust. Learning about myself has been a lifelong process, and continues to be something that I am involved in daily. My personal journey, training, and education has allowed me to learn ways that I can help others just like you.

So for those still reading, I received my Bachelors in Psychology from Lincoln Memorial University and my Masters in Education with a specialization in Mental Health Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College. I am currently an LPC-MHSP (Licensed Professional Counselor with Mental Health Service Provider designation) in the state of Tennessee.
I have been trained in Motivational Interviewing, TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and I use many other trauma informed interventions in the therapy process.
I started my work with families and children, and later found my niche working with men with symptoms of traumatic and disenfranchised grief, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
